“I believe every person deserves clear, honest medical guidance written by someone who has actually sat across from patients. That is what this platform is built on.”
Qualifications and Clinical Experience
Every article on this website is written by a practicing physician with formal postgraduate training in Family Medicine. Whether you are reading from New York, London, or Sydney, you can trust that the information is rooted in real-world hospital experience. Here is the full picture:
Who is Dr. Samran Zia, Author of this Evidence-Based Medical Blog?
My name is Dr. Samran Zia and I am the primary author of this evidence-based medical blog. I hold an MBBS degree and have completed my MCPS in Family Medicine from the College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan. I am currently pursuing my advanced FCPS Fellowship in Family Medicine at Fatima Memorial Hospital.
While my practice is based in South Asia, the medicine I practice is universal. My clinical foundation was shaped at a large government tertiary care hospital where I worked across incredibly busy outpatient departments and emergency settings. Treating hundreds of patients a week taught me something no textbook can: how to communicate clearly under pressure, how to prioritize what matters, and how differently the same illness can present in different people. This high-volume experience allows me to recognize patterns and practical realities that heavily influence the medical guides I write.
Family Medicine is about the whole person rather than a single organ or condition. I manage vaccinations, childhood fevers, chronic diseases, women’s health, and everything in between. I write about health the way a family doctor thinks about it: with context, with continuity, and with the full picture in mind.
My Mission: Health Meets Technology
I started this website with a clear purpose. There is a massive global gap between complex medical literature and public understanding. Too often, health content online is either buried in clinical jargon or produced by content writers who have never examined a patient. I wanted to change that by building an evidence-based medical blog that families can actually trust.
Three Pillars of This Website
Beyond clinical writing, I am deeply involved in how digital technology and artificial intelligence are changing medicine. Whether developing apps for clinical knowledge management or evaluating new diagnostic tools, I believe technology is reshaping the doctor-patient relationship globally. I write about these developments honestly, including their limitations, to help an informed public make better decisions.
What You Will Find on This Website
Why I Built This Global Platform
Whether a patient is sitting across from me in my clinic or reading this evidence-based medical blog from another continent, the core problem is often the same: anxiety caused by misinformation. People often suffer longer than necessary because they follow well-meaning but scientifically inaccurate advice found online.
By bringing the practical insights gained from treating thousands of patients into the digital space, my goal is to provide a reliable counterweight to internet health myths.
- Clear over complicated. I write the way I speak to patients: plainly, directly and without unnecessary technical language.
- Practical over theoretical. Every guide focuses on what you can actually do at home.
- Honest over reassuring. I will tell you when something is serious and requires immediate medical attention, and when it is safe to monitor.
